Soil Date.

Time is a gift. We as humans have devised many ways of tracking it. This is mine, as nothing is more important than how we treat the land under our care.

Soil Date = Years you have been associated with a particular tract of land + Number of days in that year so far (I use the Julian date).

So, I have been with my land for 15 years and it is the 20th day of the year. So my soil date is 15.20.

Also, I live in a culture where one may have ownership or leasehold interests in land, but it’s not about that. It’s about land you have accepted caring for.
