De-thatching

Today I worked on clearing my high tunnel area from thatch for a poor lawn I solarized last fall. There was a great deal of crab grass. The detaching will help me identify green sprouts so I can dig down and remove the rhizomes. After this, it’s filling in low spot with some wood chips I will generate and then cover in compost.
